Who is UPC Insurance?
Universal Property and Casualty (UPC) Insurance was founded in 1999 to provide insurance to customers in 12 disaster-prone states. UPC's goal is to “Keep the Promise” to its policyholders and be there for them when they need it most. To date, UPC Insurance Company has paid out more than $2 billion in total claims from more than 21 hurricanes and tropical storms, in addition to thousands of routine events. The Florida-based insurer offers homeowners insurance, as well as some specialty coverages.
UPC also sells flood insurance through NFS Edge a private flood insurer as well as the NFIP. Coverage purchased from the NFIP is protected by the U.S. government, and rates are the same no matter from where you buy. You may qualify for discounts on other policies or insurers may offer different payment options when you bundle, though.
